Completed in just 8 days – on time, within budget and the client was ecstatic with the overall finish
Centriforce Products invited us to look at a refurbishment project within the Factory. Totalling 450 square metres of production lines and floor, Centriforce is one of the most innovative recycling plastic manufacturers in the UK.
Based in Liverpool, they manufacture products which help to prevent damage being caused to people, assets or utilities during industrial projects.
The specifications included: chemical washing down all three production lines to degrease them, then mechanically sanding them down and applying two coats of enamel heat resistant paint.
In order to remove dirt and contaminants, and thoroughly clean and prepare the concrete floor surface underneath the production lines and walk ways in there warehouse, the floor was ground back using a totally enclosed handheld 110v diamond grinder.
The floor was then vacuumed clean of all residues and dust with 110v motor vacuum and repairs were made to any localised damaged concrete, holes, cracks as required using resin filler.
Once fully prepared two coats of KDR, high build epoxy resin flooring system were laid in the clients chosen, safety red to the floor area around and under the production lines, and a grey floor was installed in their warehouse with a safety green walkway.
A 33mm wide boarder was then masked out to create a band around each production line, and a high build epoxy resin in safety yellow boarder was laid.
The project was completed in just 8 days – on time, within budget and the client was ecstatic with the overall finish.
