Project Details

Happy Drinks Liverpool, invited us to tender for a floor refurbishment project within their Factory, totaling 5000 square metres of floor in the production areas to comply with the 5S Methodology. Happy Drinks Group is a innovating soft drinks manufacturer producing over 255 million units annually, supplying Marks & Spencer and other major retailers throughout the UK.

The 5000 square meters floor area was to be used for a new production lines and existing lines. The client wanted a new resin floor with demarcated areas to show machine areas and pedestrian walkways. It was recommended that the area be prepared and then given two coats of KDR high build epoxy resin flooring system with safety  for the machine areas, green for pedestrian walkways and light grey for general work areas, all finished with blue squares for pallet storage.

The main floor area was thoroughly cleaned and prepared using an enclosed triple headed diamond grinding floor preparation machine and the edges with an enclosed hand held 110v diamond grinder. The area was then vacuumed clean and repairs were made to any localised damaged concrete, holes, bolt holes and cracks using epoxy resin

5000 Square Metres of High Build Epoxy Resin

Once fully prepared two coats of KDR, high build epoxy resin flooring system were laid in the clients chosen colours around and under the production lines, with green walkways and safety red traffic lanes.

The Job was completed over a 8 week period – on time, within budget and the client was very happy with the finish.
